Adding images to your emails just got easier

Getting the right visual into your email shouldn’t slow you down. Two recent updates make it quicker to go from “I have an image” to “it’s in my email and looking great.”

What’s new

• Drag and drop images right onto the canvas. Got an image open on your desktop and an email half-built in Workshop? Just drag it in. Dropped images stay specific to that email and won’t clutter your media library — perfect for one-off visuals you don’t need to save.
• Bring your Canva GIFs straight into Workshop. If you create a GIF in Canva, you can now pull it directly into your email through the existing Canva integration — no downloading and re-uploading. Open the media library, click into the Canva asset’s preview, and insert it as a GIF.

Availability

Both are live now in the modern editor. The Canva GIF import works through your connected Canva account in the media library.
