Find, organize, and add visuals faster with media library updates

Devin Owens

Workshop’s media library just got a serious upgrade, making it easier than ever to find, organize, and add the perfect visuals to your internal emails. Whether you’re searching for the right GIF, stock image, or your latest Canva creation—we’ve got you covered!

So, what’s new?

Seamless integrations

Say goodbye to downloading and then re-uploading your content! You can now search for and insert a GIF from Giphy, find high-quality, content-aligned stock photos from Unsplash or add Canva graphics directly from the media library.

Simply put: all of your visual assets are now accessible in one place—Workshop! How’s that for ease? (You’ll find these options under the “Integrations” tab in your media library, found in the Manage section of the platform or when you drag an image block into your email.)

New grid view for better browsing

Sometimes, you want a list, other times, a grid! Whichever you fancy, now, you can toggle between list view and grid view right in the media library, making it a breeze to scan your visuals in the way that works best for you. Plus, the editor will remember what you last set the view as so you don’t have to toggle between list and grid view every time you create a new email. Just switch it once and it’s set for you!

Folders front and center

Finding your go-to assets should be quick and effortless. That’s why we’ve moved folders to the very top of the media library–so you can access your most used, brand, or audience-specific visuals with less scrolling.

Why internal communicators should be all for visuals

Including visuals in your internal comms isn’t just about aesthetics (even though we love beautifully designed internal emails!), it’s a strategic move that enhances engagement and information retention for your employees. With 85% of internal communicators identifying email as their most effective channel, sprinkling in visuals such as images, GIFs or branded graphics can take an email from blah to scroll-worthy with just a few clicks.

Adding visuals to your internal messages can make a big difference:

  • Catch (and keep) attention: A well-placed image or GIF can make an email more inviting to read. Tip: Understand this by measuring your email read times!
  • Make information stick: People are much more likely to remember visual content than plain text, helping your key messages land and stay top-of-mind for employees.

Create a more engaging experience:  Images, branded graphics, charts, icons (and a whole lot more!) can help signal that internal comms is valuable, intentional, and worth reading.

Streamline your internal comms workflows

Our updates to the media library make it easier to find and use visuals, whether you’re uploading your own or pulling from a library of millions of high-quality images. No more endless tab-hopping or file juggling—just fast, more efficient workflows that help you and your team create engaging, visually compelling comms in no time!

Head to the media library in Workshop to explore these updates, adding a little razzle dazzle to your next internal message! Not a Workshop customer yet? Schedule a time to connect with us, and we’ll show you how to elevate your next internal message with scroll-stopping visuals.
