More powerful Pages: video embeds, better text tools, and version history
Pages are where updates, plans, and shared knowledge come together in Workshop.
Today’s release makes them even better — with built-in video embeds, more flexible text tools, and a new way to preview (and restore) past versions.
The goal? Help you create richer content, write with more precision, and edit confidently as Pages grow and change. No second-guessing required.
Bring video right into your Pages
Some messages just land better on video — a leadership update, a quick walkthrough, a project recap where tone really matters. With the new Video block, you can embed videos directly into Pages so people can watch without ever leaving Workshop.
Paste a link, preview it, publish. That’s it.
What’s new
-
Plays inline: Videos run exactly where you place them — no new tabs, no broken flow.
-
Looks great everywhere: Embeds automatically resize for desktop and mobile.
-
Behaves naturally: Autoplay, mute, and looping follow the video’s existing settings.
-
Flexible previews: Pull thumbnails from YouTube or Vimeo, or upload a custom one for Loom, Wistia, and other hosts.
Great ways to use it
-
Leadership updates with recorded messages and written context in one place
-
Training and onboarding walkthroughs, right where people need them
-
Campaign, project, or event Pages with recordings, notes, and recaps together (finally!)
Better text tools in Pages
We’re also shipping a bundle of rich text editor improvements — focused on polish, flexibility, and those small details that make writing feel effortless instead of fiddly.
What’s new
-
Text highlights from the toolbar: Call attention to key moments or important changes.
-
Letter spacing controls: Fine-tune character spacing to better match your design system.
-
Line height (leading): A long-requested upgrade for better layout and readability.
-
Right-to-left text support: Easily switch direction for languages like Arabic or Hebrew — no workarounds needed.
-
Better bulleted lists: Indent with Tab, outdent with Shift+Tab (faster, cleaner structure).
-
Improved pasting from Google Docs: More formatting carries over, less cleanup required.
Why it matters
You get more control over how your content looks — without making the editor more complicated or slower to use.
Preview (and restore) past versions of Pages
Ever wish you could peek at an earlier version of a Page — or undo a change without the stress? Now you can. Pages now include full revision history, so you can see what changed, when it changed, and who made the update.
Why you’ll love it
-
Full visibility: Browse previous versions with timestamps and editor details.
-
Easy rollback: Revert to an earlier version in just a few clicks — no copying, pasting, or rebuilding.
-
Edit with confidence: Make updates knowing you can always review or restore what came before.
How it works
Open any Page, click Preview, and explore its full revision history.
