Pencil in what’s coming with planned content in your calendar

We’ve all been there: half your comms plan is in your head, and the rest is scattered across a spreadsheet, a doc, and a few sticky notes that are definitely about to fall off your desk. Planned content is here to change that by bringing everything into your Workshop calendar, where the rest of your comms already live.

It’s a new way to map out what’s coming before you’re ready to build it. Just pick a date, add a few details, and it’s penciled in!

What’s new

• Plan before you build. Choose a date, jot down a few details, and it shows up on your calendar as planned content—you don’t need to start a formal draft until you’re ready.
• Tie it to a campaign (or don’t!). You can optionally connect your planned content to a campaign to keep related sends grouped together.
• Turn it into a draft in one click. When you’re ready to build, convert any planned content you own into a draft email instantly. If you’re building in the modern editor, your description carries over into the prompt box—so Cici has a head start on your first draft!
• Shared by default, private when you need it. Planned content is visible to everyone by default so your team stays in the loop, but if you add it to a campaign, only people with campaign access can see the details.

A few ways to use it

• Sketch out next quarter’s sends before any of them exist as drafts.
• Reserve a date for open enrollment, a leadership update, or an all-hands recap so nothing sneaks up on you.
• Give your team visibility into what’s coming without needing a separate, clunky planning doc.
• Rough out a campaign’s cadence, then convert each item to a draft as the date gets closer.

How it fits with Workshop

Planned content is the first step toward a calendar that helps you plan, not just track. Down the road, the goal is for Cici to take your comms plan and map it onto the calendar for you—and then help you turn those plans into drafts when the time comes. This is exactly where that starts!
